2024 Sunshine Coast Tennis Veterans Tournament 

The Sunshine Coast Tennis Veterans Tournament is a very popular annual event on the Veterans/Seniors Tennis calendar.

Hosted by Nambour, Palmwoods, Yandina and Woombye Tennis Clubs the event attracts entrants from throughout the region and Australia wide, bringing a welcome economic boost to the local Hinterland Clubs and wider economy. This year’s tournament will be held May 17-19. B and C grade events also available.

Zonta Club Blackall Range

Each year Zonta Club of Blackall Range packs birthing kits to send to developing countries to provide a safer and more hygienic environment for women to give birth. 

The Foundation that organises this was a Zonta initiative and has provided thousands of kits over the years.

Maleny Arts and Craft Group to host annual Autumn Fair

The annual Maleny Arts and Craft group Autumn Fair returns for 2024 with a huge selection of locally crafted and created items for purchase.

Running from Friday May 3 to Monday May 6, the fair will feature items handmade by group members and include; clothing, glassware, jewellery, woodwork, art, woollens, pottery, jams and pickles, toys, handbags and more. 

A sashiko (Japanese embroidery inspired) quilt is the raffle prize. 

The fair is a good opportunity to find a unique Mother’s Day gift.

Held at the Maleny Community Centre at 23 Maple Street (main street next to the Visitor’s centre), the event is a fantastic opportunity to shop local and support Hinterland artists and craftspeople. 

There will be extra parking behind the building on Bicentenary Lane.
